Factions Rules
Factions are crucial in making the game world feel alive, no matter the actions of player characters. Each faction has its own agenda with three goals and specific advantages to help achieve them. Progress towards these goals is gradual, and factions may succeed, fail, or retry their goals. The referee controls the factions' progress, and between game sessions, each faction gets an opportunity to advance their goals.
Each faction goal requires continuous effort to advance their agenda. To represent this gradual progress, a progress marker like the following is used:

- At the start of the game the progress marker is in “0” and must be marked with an X.
- Between sessions. You, as a referee, must take a faction test (roll 1DP and 1DN) to determine if each of the factions advances with their agendas. You can add +DP or +DN according to tags that the faction has or does not have, or by the tags that the factions acquire due to what happens in the game.
- Use the default difficulty of 1 for the faction test, you can adjust this difficulty according to what happens in the fiction. Perhaps some situations in the game can make it more difficult for the faction to fulfill its agenda. If Effect of roll is 0 or higher is a success, then advance one square. Otherwise, move back one square.
- If by advancing the progress track reaches +5, then the faction reaches one goal on the agenda. Otherwise, it fails and they can try again, but resetting the progress marker one square below zero (if they failed the first time), that is, at -1. Add another square to the left for each time the faction fails.
- When a faction reaches each one goal, it adds a new tag to their description.
Creating Factions
Factions are created very easily using this template.
NAME
- Describe them
- Write three tags that they have that can help them achieve their goals.
- Agenda: Number three goals.
Example:
MONIDS
It is a group of tribes of anthropomorphic monkeys that form a great alliance. Their territories are to the east and southeast of the valley, but they can be found in various places. They are distant ancestors of today's bearded saki, but taller. Their coats meet a wide spectrum of brown tones. They are territorial beings, as intelligent as they are violent. They have a much more technologically developed society than the other tribes in the area because they contacted an extraterrestrial civilization that settled in the valley in the past and with which they forged commercial and technological exchanges of all kinds until Monids eliminated them. The Monids are able to communicate with each other as well as with other tribes in the Valley of the Fifth Sun because they have an unknown technology that some of them wear around their necks. They are dedicated to the gathering of fruits, hunting and fishing.
